Build a segment based on customers that did not buy after a recent email offer

After sending an offer we usually have Figure admin users from the winery ask, “I sent out my Spring offer last week and I want to send up a follow up email to all the people that have not made a purchase yet.”

You can build a segment that covers this:

-First, make sure to sync your Figure customer list so that all data on recent orders will be transferred to the customer records in Campaign Monitor. On the main Customer's page in Figure, in the upper right corner area you will see an Export drop down button. Choose "Sync All Customers with Campaign Monitor". Let that process run because with large customer lists it can take a minute or two. Once the sync is complete, a green banner will appear at the top of the page.

-In Campaign Monitor go to your “Lists & Subscribers” tab. Click on your synced list from Figure, usually this is named “Customers (Sync with Figure - DO NOT DELETE)”

-In the left margin you will see a text link called “Segments”.

-On the Segments page, on the right side you can click the “Create a new segment” button. Once in there, this is your rule setup:

> “Define a rule based on…”

> Groups > Contains > Tier 1
(or whatever your group name is)

> AND

> Last_Order_Date > Is on or before > Feb 18
(If your offer went out on Feb 19 you set this one day before. If you pre-sold some of these new release wines behind the scenes beforehand placing admin orders, and you want to account for those, you will need to do some research on the first date in which you sold these wines.)

> OR
(found on the far right side of the screen)

> Last_order_date > Is not provided
(to cover the blanks for clients in the group that have never placed an order)

Then name the Segment something like “Tier 1 Not Yet Purchased” and hit the “Save and preview” button.

Here is what it would look like....
