This is the fourth article in a five part series on processing a club batch in Offset Commerce.

We summarized the entire workflow in a webinar on 8/6/24 which can be viewed here!

Discounted rates for Club shipments are a pretty common member benefit. In Offset, you can set up a special Club Fulfillment Method with a discounted or flat rate table and apply it to your club batch.

A. Set Up Your Club Fulfillment Methods

  1. Go to the Settings tab

  2. Click on the Fulfillment Methods & Rates tab

  3. Select the New Fulfillment Method button

  4. Add your Title

    1. NOTE: I recommend noting that the method is a club-specific method. So if your method is called "Ground" you can call this one "Club Ground"

  5. If you have an existing rate you want to copy, select the method you want to copy from the Duplicate Existing Dropdown

  6. Click the Create Rate Table button

  7. Under Fulfillment Method Details, add your Internal Description

    1. EXAMPLE: "This method is for Club Processing only!"

  8. Select the Status dropdown and choose Inactive

    1. NOTE: Inactive visibility status hides the method from your customer checkout or customer-facing shipping preferences. You will be able to choose this option when you create your club batch or when you place admin orders.

  9. Select the Type dropdown and choose Shipping

  10. Under Method Details, select the Fulfillment dropdown and choose the appropriate fulfillment partner or shipping service

    1. NOTE: If you are not shipping with any of the listed options you can select “Custom.”

  11. Select Method and choose the appropriate method

    1. NOTE: If you selected Custom in the previous step, you will need to manually enter your shipping code.

  12. Select Save Changes

B. Add or Update Your Club Shipping Rates

If this is your first time adding rates, you will need to add or import the rates. If you have duplicated existing rates and all you need to do is apply a discount, we have some new tools that allow you to make a quick rate adjustment.

  1. On the Fulfillment Methods & Rates page, select the elipses to the right of your Club Shipping Method

  2. Choose the option to Edit Rates

  3. (Manual Option) Scroll down to edit your desired bottle size and click on the desired field(s) to enter your rates in each cell.

  4. (Modify Rate Table Option) If your rates are already populated, scroll down and select the Modify 750mL Rate Table button below each rate table. This option allows you to apply a Percentage or Dollar Amount change to the entire rate table.

    1. Next to the Modify by a: select the dropdown and choose Percentage or Dollar Amount

    2. Under Adjust by *, enter the % or $ amount using whole numbers.

      1. IMPORTANT: Do not enter dollar or percentage signs

    3. Select Modify Data

    4. Check the rates to ensure they were adjusted to your desired amount

    5. Repeat this process for any size bottle you will include in your Club shipment

  5. (Optional) Set your "Flat Rate Shipping Charge"

    1. NOTE: Flat rates only apply to 750mL bottles in an order

    2. Select the number of Bottles by selecting a quantity from the dropdown

    3. Enter the dollar amount into the Maximum Charge cells

      1. EXAMPLE: If you set the Bottles to 6 and the Max Charge to $35.00, this means that all orders of 6 bottles or more will ship for $35.00.

      2. Click on Save Changes

  6. (Import Option) Import Your Shipping Rates via Spreadsheet

    1. Click on the Actions dropdown

    2. Select Export All Rate tables to download the template.

    3. Populate the Import Spreadsheet by entering the shipping rates for bottle quantity across each zone.

    4. Save the file as an MS-DOS.csv file

    5. Click on the Actions dropdown

    6. Choose Import All Rate Tables to import the rates

    7. Click on Choose File and attach the completed file

    8. Click the Upload button

    9. Review the rates and confirm your changes
