Customers page in Settings

Once you have setup your Groups, the Customers page in Settings will determine where any new account sign ups will be placed initially.

For example, let’s say you have three tiered Groups:
-Tier One (the longest standing best clients)
-Tier Two (solid clients that continue to buy)
-Tier Three (new clients just graduated from the Waiting List)
-Waiting List (new clients yet to be offered wines)

If you only have enough wines at every release to offer Tier One, Two, and Three, then on the Customers page in Settings you would select Waiting List as the default group. Therefore, when new customers sign up online or are created by a Figure admin user, the Group they will be categorized into automatically will be the Waiting List.

Some wineries don’t have any tiered groups. They just have a Mailing List group and set the Customers page in Settings to drop everyone in that Mailing List group.

To learn more about setting up Groups we do have a Best Practices article titled, Valuable Insights for Group Creation.
