Tags are helpful as reminders and keeping track of reoccurring situations for orders and customers.

Tags page in Settings

Within a Customer account or a specific Order you are able to create and apply custom tags. The Settings>Tags page is your headquarters for all things Tags, allowing the ability to export and manage, as well as provide a prompt if some of your tags require a follow up action or were built as a reminder for your staff.

Order Tags:

On an order, you will see a section for tags on the left-hand side.

There are three steps you must complete to save a tag:

  1. Type the name of the Tag you would like to “create”. If you start typing a Tag that has similar words as one that has already been created, you will be provided with a drop down of choices. Therefore, if you plan to create similar Tags related to refunds or shipping, keep the naming/words similar so the drop down menu will offer you existing choices.

  2. Hit the Enter/Return button on your keyboard to “apply” the Tag.

  3. On the right side there is a blue button “Save Tag Changes”. If you do not click this Save button the Tag will not stay applied to the order.

Customer Tags:

Click into a Customer to view their account details and on the left-hand side you will see a section for tags.

Again, there are three steps you must complete to save a tag:

  1. Type the name of the Tag you would like to “create”. If you start typing a Tag that has similar words as one that has already been created, you will be provided with a drop down of choices. Therefore, if you plan to create similar Tags related to customer needs or requests, like shipping preferences, keep the naming/words similar so the drop down menu will offer you existing choices.

  2. Hit the Enter/Return button on your keyboard to “apply” the Tag.

  3. On the right side there is a blue button “Save Tag Changes”. If you do not click this Save button the Tag will not stay applied to the customer.

As you build tags in Orders and Customers they will start to populate on the Tags page in your Settings and each one will display the number of Orders or Customers that have been given that Tag. You will be able to then click on those Tags and view all the Orders or Customers associated with those Tags.
