Overview
Offset has an Age Gate Modal feature that allows you to display a popup on your site to confirm the age of visitors.
There is a $250 fee for enabling an age gate for your site, please reach out to our team if you'd like to activate this.
Setting up your age gate
Once Offset has activated this feature, you will be see an Age Gate section in the Marketing tab of your CMS. You can also see a preview of the age gate on your style guide:
The modal contains a link to preview the age gate on your staging site. This allows you to tweak your Age Gate settings and see how it displays before you put the age gate on your live website.
The brand mark for your brand will automatically show in the Age Gate. If you would like that to be disabled, the Offset team can remove it or style it differently.
Enable Age Gate on Website
Once you like how your Age Gate is displaying, you can toggle it on and it will display on your live site.
Customizing your Age Gate
The modal has a number of settings you can explore to customize how your age gate presents on your site.

Age Gate functionality
The age gate stores the user’s birthdate, and will populate will populate in the sign up form if they sign up within a week of entering their birthdate on the site
The age gate will show once per year to each user based on cookies, if the user clears their cookies it will show again
